J.A.N. Wood & Leather is a local Mesa, Arizona small leathercraft and woodwork outfit. We make made-to-order handcrafted Italian leather wallets & A5 padfolios, finecrafted pens, cigar ashtrays, and wall art. Because we don’t carry ready-made inventory or mass produce products, we can ensure higher quality assurance tolerances and also shop your ideas to make a custom product.  

Wood items:

Hardwoods are responsibly sourced and include both North American hardwood species such as black walnut, hard maple, and red oak, and international exotics such as padauk, wenge, and Patagonian rosewood.

Leather items:

All leather is sourced from the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Italy, using their full grain Pueblo style leather, a rustic yet easily broken-in variety. Our leather products are cut, entirely saddle stitched, and burnished all by hand. The full grain leather we use shows its' natural qualities and will have subtle differences between every hide. The combination of these processes results in a unique feeling between every product. Each wallet and padfolio comes with a 3-year stitching limited warranty. 

Pens:

We build pens from five styles of kits, each with their own plating color options, turning blanks of wood, alumilite resin, or a combination of both, and assemble the barrels and kits into beautiful writing implements. Consider custom ordering a special handcrafted pen for personal use, a gift, or special occasion.
